Prison officials report that escaped prisoner Gypsy Ramblin Rose (a.k.a. Rosie “the Heffalump” and Rose Petal) chewed off two pickets and dug a hole during her prison break. She was apprehended only shortly after her daring escape when she was lured into a bologna trap by crime stopper Oscar Mayer, who had received information concerning the location of Rosie from witness’ who live near the scene.
Witness’ said they were alerted that something was a foot by the commotion at the near by prison and spotted Rosie cruising through the neighborhood dressed in a tan and white fur coat. Officials said that Rosie’s crime partner and life companion Ralph (a.k.a Ralphie and Ralph “The Mouth”) was very upset that his love had escaped without him and that he was singing the blues as she departed.
Witness’ from the neighborhood also reported that a young person, who has recently become friends with the outgoing and charming Ralph and Rosie duo, was concerned and even becoming panicked for the safe capture of her new friend.
Prison officials have repaired the Stonegate complex and will be adding additional security measures in the future to prevent further escapes.
