Photography

In my family, amateur photography seems to be a genetic trait, everybody is always snapping away. We have loving referred to ourselves as the Kodak Family (If only we had bought and sold stock when film was king.) For years, other than event/memory and travel photography, I wasn't really bitten by this photography bug.

Then digital became a reality for consumers and my interest began to increase.  Once DSLRs for consumers became affordable...that was it...I was hooked.

Now photography has come one of my main hobbies and the one that I can do any day at any time. Currently I am not focusing on any particular type of  photography, trying them all in order to improve my technique. However, I really enjoy travel photography (but that might be because of the travel part) and landscape photography. Not to mention beagle photography. Each week one of my pictures is featured on our Picture of the Week page.

In 2005 I did a pictures of the year project to help improve my photography. I took at least one picture everyday. Some days I got stuff I liked and others I didn't, but it did seem to help with composition.
